    MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — The ex-wife of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright has been charged in his slaying, more than seven years after his body was found in a field in his hometown of Memphis.
    Memphis Police Director Michael Rallings said Saturday that Sherra Wright has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Lorenzen Wright, who played for five teams over 13 seasons as a forward and center in the NBA.

  • Two pedestrians killed after being struck by vehicle in Salamanca

    SALAMANCA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two pedestrians have died after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Route 353 and North State in the Town of Salamanca.
    The incident occurred Friday evening.
    According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, the driver was uninjured and one passenger was taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries.
    Both pedestrians sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
    The accident is under investigation and charges may be pending.

  • Man charged with robbing Town of Niagara gas station with loaded rifle

    TOWN OF NIAGARA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man is in custody following an armed robbery involving a loaded rifle at a Packard Road gas station.
    Brandan J. Kruszka, 21, was charged with first degree robbery and petit larceny by Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies early Saturday morning.
