  • Arrest made following domestic related shooting in Buffalo

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo police have arrested an individual in connection with an apparent domestic related shooting that occurred Saturday night.
    Officers responded to the call just before 11:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Lawn Avenue. Police say a 22-year-old Buffalo man was shot while sitting inside his vehicle.
    He was transported to Kenmore Mercy Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Mother Nature was the best defense for the better part of four quarters on Sunday at New Era Field but it couldn’t stop Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy from sprinting into the endzone for 21 yards, sealing an overtime victory.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Nathan Peterman left in the third quarter of the Bills game against the Colts on Sunday after taking a hit to the head late in the third quarter.

    VENTURA, C.A. (WIVB) — Many American Red Cross volunteers will be helping through the holidays with relief efforts in southern California. One Western New Yorker is spending the next two weeks there to help those affected by the wildfires.

    NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVB) — Officials in Niagara County say their 911 system is up and running after experiencing outages all morning.
    Still, officials are releasing another number to call in case you cannot get through.

    The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and Verizon continue to monitor the system.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Peace Bridge, Canada bound, was closed for about an hour Saturday after a tractor trailer overturned.
    The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. The crash caused serious traffic back ups and did not reopen until 12:17 p.m.

    ELBA, N.Y. (WIVB) — New York State Police say two people have died following a car crash in Elba.
    The crash happened at Rt. 98 and Lockport Road around 1 p.m. Saturday.
    NYSP say a 2013 Honda Civic driven by 45-year-old Franca Monachino from Hilton, failed to yield at the Rt. 98 intersection, striking a tractor-trailer.
    The 2004 Peterbilt tractor-trailer was driven by 29-year-old Jerry Tuttle from Kingley, Pennsylvania. Both were killed in the crash.
