  A Juneau man set out to document bald eagles but got more footage than he expected.
  The action-camera company GoPro shared its video of the day online, which claims to be of a bald eagle stealing a GoPro in Juneau.
  In a web posting, GoPro said the original incident happened in May 2015.
  According to the post, Matt Beedle set out to document the birds. He placed the GoPro on a nearby stump and put scraps of salmon on a log.

• Kake man found dead in Frederick Sound after boat runs aground

  Searchers recovered the body of a 59-year-old man who had fallen from a boat Sunday in Frederick Sound near Kake.
  The body of Willis Cavanaugh of Kake was located in the water by a good Samaritan searchers.
  The U.S. Coast Guard received a call from the vessel Kalin Ann at 1 p.m. Sunday. The boat was aground in Herring Bay on the southern side of Admiralty Island.

  ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Alaska State Troopers say a 59-year-old Kake man has died in a boating accident.
  Troopers say Willis Cavanaugh went missing after a boat he was in went aground in Herring Bay on Admiralty Island.
  Troopers say they were notified Sunday afternoon that one of the occupants in the boat was missing and the Coast Guard was coordinating a search.

  From farm to table, Kachemak Bay Oysters are a delicacy offered almost year-round in restaurants.
  Many of them are grown in Peterson Bay, a cove located on the south shore of Kachemak Bay. It’s cold, clean water is home to hundreds of thousands of oysters. They live at the bottom of buoys, in nets tethered to a long line under water.

  Bogoslof Volcano erupted Sunday afternoon prompting warnings from the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) and the National Weather Service (NWS).
  The AVO raised the Volcano Alert Level to a warning and the Aviation Color Code to a red — the highest level to alert pilots and people in the area of an ongoing eruption.
  The Alaska Volcano Observatory said the eruption started at 12:48 p.m. and lasted about 16 minutes. An ash cloud was sent to 36,000 feet.

  The summer season for the commercial Dungeness crab fishery in Southeast Alaska will be three weeks shorter than usual, closing on July 25.
  The Alaska Department of Fish and Game made the announcement on June 29, after tallying the harvest from the first seven days of the crab season. The catch from that first week came in at 605,000 pounds.

  Anchorage Fire Department responded to a single-story fire located near Jewel Lake Sunday.
  According to a Nixle alert, AFD responded with 11 trucks to fight a fire on the 8400 block of Crystal Street.
  AFD said at 11:58 a.m. a caller reported the fire was started by a child who was playing with a candle.
  Crews arrived at 12:01 p.m. and extinguished the fire 27 minutes later, AFD said.
  No one was hurt.
