  After a newspaper investigation concluded that one-fifth of all sexual assault complaints in Canada were dismissed as “unfounded,” or baseless — a far higher percentage than for other types of crime — police forces across the country are revisiting old cases.

• Complaint: Witnesses shed light on Wasilla teen’s death

  Damien Peterson didn’t say much to investigators when he was arrested for the murder of a 16-year-old shot to death last summer. According to a criminal complaint, he simply said “OK.”

  PETERSBURG, Alaska (AP) – Now that marijuana businesses are up and running in Alaska, a resident of a small town on Prince of Wales Island is hoping to get support from the town’s voters to open up a pot business of his own.

• Burned Fairview building has vibrant history, owner’s brother says

  The warehouse attached to a Fairview home is now a pile of burned wood. It’s part of a property Johnathan Reeves’ grandmother, Jean Reeves, purchased in the early 1980s. The warehouse was destroyed during a large fire Friday that took firefighters hours to extinguish.
