  A man was arrested for allegedly firing multiple shots into a crowd at a bonfire early Sunday morning, Alaska State Troopers report.
  Troopers were notified of the shooting just after 2 a.m. at Coal Hills in Sutton, according to an online dispatch. They were told someone in a white Jeep fired into the crowd and then fled towards Palmer.

• Troopers: Tok woman allegedly shot, killed by family member

  A 51-year-old woman is dead and a family member is in custody following a shooting Saturday morning.
  Alaska State Troopers said in a dispatch they have arrested 21-year-old Eli Simpson in connection to the death of Riba Dewilde.
  Someone called troopers around 7:47 a.m. to report that Dewilde had died, according to the dispatch.
  “Investigation determined that she was shot by a family member and succumbed to her injuries,” troopers wrote.

• Fire burns multi-family residence near Arctic Boulevard

  A fire destroyed part of a multi-family residence near West 54th Avenue and Arctic Boulevard Saturday night, according to fire officials.
  The fire was reported at 10:20 p.m., and within 20 minutes, a dozen fire units got the fire under control, according to Anchorage fire dispatchers. At least one unit in the residence was damaged by the fire, but it was unclear how many.
  The cause is still under investigation.

• $180,000 donation to fund Craig emergency dispatch update

  The most populated city on Prince of Wales Island will be able to buy new emergency dispatch equipment with the Craig Tribal Association’s donation of $180,000.

  Juneau police said a Super Bear Supermarket employee trying to stop a thief Saturday morning was dragged after his arm was caught in the suspect’s car window.

  Alaska State Troopers say a 43-year-old North Pole woman has been found dead following a fire in the Fairbanks area.
