When mounting a Super Bowl run, it certainly doesn’t hurt to play six games against the NFL’s worst division.
Those were the fortunate circumstances the Rams found themselves in a season ago, when the league’s bottom two both resided in the NFC West. The Cardinals and 49ers finished a combined 7-25 in 2018 and barely put up a fight against the eventual division champs. Over four games, the Rams outscored the division’s dueling doormats by an enormous margin of 152-51.
