  SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) – Officials have issued an order banning the use, possession or storage of marijuana in the Santa Fe National Forest, though such practices were already illegal.

  State Police say one of their officers was trying to make a traffic stop when shots were fired. Right now there is no word on what the traffic stop was about or who fired shots first.

  SOCORRO, N.M. (KRQE) – Both lanes of southbound I-25 near mile marker 139 are closed due to a police investigation, according to NM Roads.
  Law enforcement is said to be on scene, and drivers are asked to reduce speed and use extreme caution.

  Last year, David Cordova forced the teen into his car at gunpoint then stabbed her in the eye with pliers, blinding her. He was mad someone threatened to report their illegal relationship.

  The fire was sparked by lightning Saturday and continues to burn Ponderosa Pine, mixed-conifer, grass and brush.
  Officials say 96 people are fighting the fire.
  Smoke from the fire can be seen from I-25 and U.S. Highway 60.

  According to the Albuquerque Journal, Molina Healthcare will pay more than $700,000 in overtime wages for 409 employees in Albuquerque.
