  (AP) – Airlines canceled and delayed fewer flights in March and consumer complaints were down.
  The Department of Transportation said Monday that 81.5 percent of flights on the main airlines arrived on time during March, up from 78.7 percent in March 2015. Hawaiian Airlines was the best performer, while Spirit Airlines finished last.

  ESPANOLA, N.M. (KRQE) –Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s deputies say they arrested a man suspected of violently raping a 76-year-old woman in her home near Española.
  Friday night, deputies took Jason Cordova to jail.
  Earlier this month, investigators say Cordova knocked on the woman’s door, asked for a coke, and forced his way into her house when she said no.

  SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A former corrections officer, accused of raping inmates, will not have any of his charges dismissed.
  Attorneys for Enock Arviso asked a judge to dismiss five of his 11 sexual assault charges.
  Arviso resigned from MDC last year, after an inmate claimed he raped her while escorting her from a hearing.

• Man sentenced for stabbing 69-year-old

  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man who randomly attacked an elderly man will spend more than a decade behind bars.
  The 69-year-old victim was doing yard work near Lomas and Bryn Mawr last April when 37-year-old Francisco Rodrigues came up to him and started stabbing him.
  The victim had multiple stab wounds and his throat had been slashed. He did survive.
  Friday in court, Rodrigues apologized to the victim’s family.
  The judge sentenced Rodrigues to 12 years in prison.
