  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Bernalillo County’s vehicle seizure law takes effect on Friday.
  That means if drivers drag-race, they could lose their car.
  The new ordinance declares illegal street or drag racing a public nuisance. Vehicles used in these illegal activities can be taken away at the scene by law enforcement officers.
  An administrative hearing will then determine if the vehicle was properly seized.

  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Police have released the toxicology report for an accused drunk driver.
  Police say Jacob Jaramillo’s blood alcohol level was .15 which is nearly twice the legal limit.
  Jaramillo was behind the wheel in November when he ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle, according to police. The three victims, all in their twenties, were killed that night. They have been identified as Roberto Mendez, 27, Sergio Mendez-Aguirre, 23, and Grace Sinfield, 20.

  FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) – The only commercial airline company at Four Corners Regional Airport is planning to close its maintenance operations, though it will continue passenger service.
  The Daily Times in Farmington reports that Great Lakes Airlines will lay off 17 workers in its plane maintenance hangar by the end of the month. Officials say the airline has maintenance operations in Cheyenne and Denver. About eight of the laid off workers have been offered transfers to Denver.

  New Mexico’s overall grade was slightly higher than last year’s D-minus but its 49th ranking remains unchanged.
