  Police say they found the door of the vehicle used during the murder of 55-year-old William McKinley.

  It happened Sunday night when State Police tried to stop a stolen van. Police say the driver fled from officers and Cibola County deputies until he hit a dead end road.   SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) – Lawmakers in New Mexico are proposing a series of new criminal penalties for repeated drunken driving offenses.
  Legislators introduced three bills on Monday that would increase jail time and trigger other felony sanctions against drunken drivers under existing New Mexico laws for habitual offenders.
  One bill also proposes increased penalties for those who lend their car to someone whose license has been revoked or suspended because of a prior drunken driving offense.

  FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – A Farmington man is behind bars after police say he attempted to murder someone.
  It happened on Friday at about 2:44 a.m. when police arrived to the scene of a shooting. Police say they found a 59-year-old man shot multiple times at the scene. That man was then taken to the hospital.
