Leigh_Curtis published Notts County manager Mark Cooper keen for a clean slate as he...
As Mark Cooper calmly took his seat in the media suite at Meadow Lane, the majority of Notts County fans were questioning why he wasn't here 12 games earlier. But for those who were so ardently opposed to Jamie Fullarton, who was sacked after 69 days following the defeat to Exeter City at the weekend, it is better late than never. The man many felt should have got the job after Ricardo Moniz was fired in December was now here and looking the part having taken the players for training just... -
MattDavies published Notts County fan view: Fullarton treatment 'shameful' but time...
Jamie Fullarton was hung out to dry but Notts County must now give outcasts a chance, says Rob Holland, 41, a lifelong fan. So after 70 days we've finally hired Mark Cooper, the man we should have done when we appointed Jamie Fullarton. Any manager is a gamble, but the board should have recognised that Jamie Fullarton was a bigger gamble given our track record and that they had said they would go for, what all fans wanted, someone experienced at our level. Right from the off it felt like... -

Where would Notts County be now if they appointed Mark Cooper 70 days earlier asks Andrew Kirk, 37, who saw his first game 30 years ago. The arrival of Mark Cooper was the news that I expected, but it was overshadowed by the sheer relief and excitement that Jamie Fullarton had been finally sacked. Sadly the only achievement available to Mark is to build for next season had his appointment been 70 days early who knows what may have been accomplished. Read... -
