    Crowds have gathered at the theme park as the rollercoaster re-opened following a crash last June. Alton Towers re-opened The Smiler ride on Saturday - nine months after a horrific crash left two teenagers needing leg amputations. The £18 million rollercoaster has remained closed since the crash in June last year.
