How this new wearable can elimintate chronic dehydration
Dustin Freckleton MD knows well that the human body is made up of mostly water, and he’s concerned that people aren’t getting enough and staying hydrated. It’s something that seriously altered his life and gave it new focus, in the form of developing a potentially lifesaving wearable, mainly focused on hydration, an issue not necessarily thought of on a daily basis.
“Even a one per cent difference affects you in a huge way,” said Freckleton on his Kickstarter page f

Hollywood actor and environmentalist Adrian Grenier on TV’s renaissance and big brand sustainability efforts
In the UK press recently, right-wing tabloid The Sun faced a backlash after columnist Rod Liddle called out celebrities for standing up for causes. While some may agree with some of his points, it belittles a swathe of sincere, intelligent people who reached fame through talent and genuinely want to make the world a better place.
What it also fails to acknowledge is that there’s a large group of people, empowered by the internet and access to information, that now demand a rhetoric of soci

Gambling firms and broadcasters unite to combat proposed daytime ad ban
Bookmakers and broadcasters have slammed a proposed government ban on betting ads airing during daytime TV that they claim would do little to protect children and addicts.
While the government has yet to confirm the crackdown, reports emerged last week that a watershed on gambling ads is imminent amid fears they encourage kids to take up betting. Currently bookmakers are permitted to run ads during daytime TV only if the ads are for bingo or are aired during breaks in live sporting events.

Facebook unveils standalone app for Events
Facebook is launching a standalone app for its social media-driven calendar that will record events tied to the Pages a person likes as well as highlight those their friends are interested in attending.

How Facebook’s virtual reality shakedown could bring a new dimension to marketing
When Facebook snapped up Oculus for $2bn back in 2014, the co-founder of what would go on to become one of the world's most recognisable headsets, Palmer Luckey, predicted that Facebook, as we knew it then, wasn’t the future of virtual reality (VR).
“VR, will be social,” said the Rift creator, “but it’ll be on totally new platforms built from the ground up that really push VR, not necessarily applications we have today.” Fast-forward two years and his predicti
