Sainsbury’s has created the role of chief data officer, appointing former News UK exec Andy Day as it begins to get its management structure in place ahead of the merger with Argos.
Andy Day cut his teeth at Sky, managing its customer database, before joining O2 in 2003 where he was head of CRM for eight years and then promoted to general manager of business intelligence at following its buyout by Telefonica, a role he stayed in for just shy of two years.

R&B singer Frank Ocean has branched out into video with the release of a 45 minute ‘visual album’ on Apple Music that features new tracks alongside footage of the star.

Marketing Birmingham has begun a search for agencies to service its £5m strategic marketing framework.
