  During the SmackDown tapings in Glasgow earlier today, it was announced that Dolph Ziggler will defend the Intercontinental Championship against the Miz on next week’s episode of SmackDown. SmackDown takes place next week in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
  The episode is the 900th episode of SmackDown and will feature appearances by Edge and The Undertaker.

  Terry “Rhyno” Gerin failed in his big for a Michigan congressional seat tonight. Michigan Live reports that the race has been called for Gerin’s opponent, Abdullah Hammoud. As of this writing Hammoud has 64.4% of the vote to Rhyno’s 35.6%.
  Rhyno was seeking to become the first Republican elected in the city of Deaborn in the state house since 1988.
