  • Cal Poly Runs Over Sacramento State 41-27

    SACRAMENTO (AP) — Joe Protheroe and Drew Hernandez each ran for more than 100 yards and Cal Poly rolled past Sacramento State 41-27 on Saturday night.
    Cal Poly (2-4, 1-2 Big Sky Conference) ran for 462 yards on 70 carries, and was just 1 of 6 through the air. Protheroe ran 32 times for 128 yards and a touchdown. Hernandez had 113 yards on 12 carries.

  • Officials Still Looking For Car They Suspect Caused The Ferguson Fire

    CLOVIS (CBS13) — Officials this determined the Ferguson Fire was caused by superheated pieces of a catalytic converter that came into contact with dry, roadside vegetation, and ignited the fire.
    Despite determining the cause of the fire, officials have not been able to locate the vehicle associated with the cause. Officials are asking anyone with information to contact the Sierra National Forest at (559) 297-0706.

    LINCOLN (CBS13) — The Placer County Sheriff’s Office announced that two people have been arrested for using stolen credit cards lead to a larger discovery about one of the suspects.

  • Drive-By Shooting Sparks Chaotic Series Of Collisions On Hwy 99

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Police are continuing to investigate a drive-by shooting and car crash that happened early Saturday morning in Sacramento.
    CHP said that just before 4 a.m. Saturday a Toyota was driving southbound on Highway 99, just north of 12th Avenue. An unknown vehicle drove alongside the passenger side of the Toyota and began shooting at the Toyota and its four occupants for unknown reasons.
