  SACRAMENTO (AP) – California’s top elections official said Tuesday he doesn’t yet know if any of the roughly 1,500 people mistakenly registered to vote by the Department of Motor Vehicles cast ballots in the June primary.

  FOLSOM (CBS13) – Rescue crews had their hands full after a buck and a doe ran into a canal near Gold River late Tuesday morning.
  Metro Fire says they responded to Tributary Point and found that the deer were in the canal – about two miles apart from each other.
  Firefighters got into a raft, entered the Folsom South Canal and went to work.
  First the doe was corralled and taken ashore near Tributary Point.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Winds that made sagging power lines come into contact has been found to be the cause of the deadly 2017 Cascade Fire in Yuba County.

  KEYES (CBS13) – Detectives in Stanislaus County are looking for the man who is apparently using his child to help commit thefts.
  According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, the man has been committing the thefts from a store in the community of Keyes.
  The man is apparently using a young child to help him conceal and steal items. The man can be seen walking into the store carrying the child in surveillance photos released by the sheriff’s department on Monday.

  PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – Authorities are investigating after a school bus crashed onto a property in the North Auburn area Tuesday morning.
  The scene is near Bell Road and Tahoe Street.

  LOS ANGELES (CBS13) – Alex Spanos, the majority owner of the Los Angeles Chargers, has passed away.
