• Disneyland Resort to Start Offering Mobile Food Ordering

    ANAHEIM (CBS13) – Disneyland Resort announced today it will soon offer mobile food ordering.
    A blog post says guests will be able to place orders at certain restaurants using the Disneyland App. Users will pick a time, order their menu items and pay.Guests then alert the restaurant when they’ve arrived. The restaurant will send a message when the food is ready to pick up at a designated window.

  • Man Wanted For Robbing Victim During Fake Cell Phone Sale In Turlock

    TURLOCK (CBS13) – Police in Turlock hope the photo of a man suspected of snatching money from a victim during a fake cell phone sale will help bring the man to justice.
    The suspect, seen below, and the victim met in late March to discuss the sale of a cell phone. The suspect was supposed to sell the phone to the victim but instead gave the victim an empty cell phone box and grabbed the victim’s cash, according to a Turlock Police Department statement.

  • Over 1 Million Undocumented Immigrants Have Drivers Licenses In California

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Undocumented immigrants in the U.S. may not be allowed to do some things documented immigrants can, but driving legally in California isn’t one of them.
    In fact, over the last three years, more than 1 million undocumented immigrants have received California driver’s licenses.
    The California Department of Vehicles says it’s issued licenses to more than one million undocumented drivers since AB 60 went into effect in January 2015.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – More than one million undocumented immigrants have gotten California driver’s licenses since 2015.
    The California Department of Vehicles says it’s issued licenses to 1.1 million undocumented drivers since AB60 went into effect in January of 2015. In 2015 approximately 605,000 undocumented immigrants received licenses.
    Those wanting licenses still must prove their identity and prove they live in California.

  • Detectives Looking For Possible Witness To North Sacramento Homicide

    SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say could have information on a homicide.
    Back on Feb. 26, 28-year-old Brodrick Miller died from multiple gunshot wounds in the area of Edison Avenue and Truax Court.
    After looking through surveillance cameras in the area, detectives identified one man in the area they’d like to talk to about the incident. The man was seen in and around the apartment complex just before the murder.

  • South Lake Tahoe Officials Approve Ban On Plastic Foam

    SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (AP) — Restaurants in South Lake Tahoe will no longer be allowed to use plastic foam containers and products following a ban that goes into effect in October.
    KRNV-TV reports the city council approved an ordinance Tuesday to regulate the use and sale of plastic foam.
    Under the ordinance, restaurants will also be barred from providing customers with plastic cutlery, cups and straws.

    MODESTO (CBS13) – A murder suspect is on the run, accused of killing his wife in Modesto.
    Officials say 51-year-old Kelvin Simpson took off after killing his wife 47-year-old wife Shannon inside the couple’s home on Coffee Villa Drive.
    There is no word on where Simpson could be headed.
    The motive is still under investigation.

    SACRAMENTO — About 100 residential homes across the Sacramento region were seized as federal investigators say they’ve unraveled a Chinese drug operation.
