  STOCKTON (CBS13) – Stockton police are investigating after a chase with robbery suspects ended in a crash that killed two people.
  Just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, Stockton police received a call from Lodi police reporting a robbery at a Costco. The suspects apparently tried to snatch someone’s purse at the Costco.   DAVIS (CBS13) – Indie theaters across the country will be having a special showing of the film “1984” on Tuesday to protest Pres. Trump’s policies.
  The theaters are coming together to protest the president’s proposed cuts to cultural programs, especially amid reports his administration is proposing eliminating the National Endowment for the Arts.

• Man Killed In Early Morning Crash In Carmichael

  CARMICHAEL (CBS13) – A man in his 20s has died after his car drifted off of the road and crashed into a pole in Carmichael early Tuesday morning.
  It all started about 1:45 a.m. when a car crashed into a power pole along Fair Oaks Boulevard near Wayside Lane.
  According to California Highway Patrol, the crash was so powerful the pole was split in two. The driver died at the scene.
  SMUD was called out to the scene to correct the pole.

• Placer County Pony Mauled By Pit Bulls

  PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – A local family said their beloved pony was mauled by two pit bulls who then got away.
  The attack happened just be for dawn Sunday just outside of Auburn.
  “Eor come on,” said Debbie Glasow who is now taking care of the pony. “I’m surprised he’s doing as good as he is.”
  With 300 stitches, a mauled face, and skinned legs, making it past the first 24-hour mark was a major relief.

  YOLO (CBS13) — The debate over a military-style vehicle for the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department has ended, for now.
  On Monday, the department released a statement saying its “decided against accepting the free surplus MRAP vehicle.”

  LIVE OAK (CBS13) — The truck a Yuba College student was driving before she went missing has been found, but there is no sign of Ali Yeoman.
  Gridley Police investigators are going through the truck searching for evidence.

  CERES (CBS13) — A swarm of bees killed a dog and injured two men in Ceres on Sunday.
  A man was harvesting honey from his beehive when he was attacked and stung numerous times on the 2700 block of River Valley Circle.
