    Trader Joe’s Recalls Apple Sauce Over Possibility Of Glass Pieces Being Inside
    MONROVIA (CBS13) – Trader Joe’s has issued a voluntary recall of some of its apple sauce products.
    The Monrovia, Calif. based company says they issued the recall due to the potential of glass pieces being in the product.
    Three different items sold recently are affected by the recall: Trader Joe’s First Crush Unsweetened Gravenstein Apple Sauce (best before date of Aug. 8, 2018), Trader Joe’s Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce (best before date of Oct. 6, 2018)

    FOLSOM (CBS13) – The latest on a gas leak in Folsom:
    1:05 p.m.
    A Folsom Fire Department representative says a PG&E worker apparently either fell or got stuck in a hole in front of the Folsom Lake High School.
    The worker then became unconscious. The gas leak was discovered shortly after, Folsom Fire says.

    WINTERS (CBS13) – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man accused of stealing tools and from a shop in Winters.
    A man was recently checking on his workshop in rural Winters when he came face to face with a man he says was burglarizing his shop. He confronted the man who ran and got into the driver’s seat of a nearby car and drove away, according to a statement from the Solano County Sheriff’s Department.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Fifteen Sacramento-area students competed in a poetry slam competition Saturday; seven of those students are now headed to an international stage.

    CERES (CBS13) – Authorities are investigating after a woman was found fatally stabbed in Ceres Sunday evening.
    The incident happened at a residence along the 3700 block of Central Avenue. Ceres police say they responded to the scene around 5 p.m. for a reported domestic disturbance.
    Officers who responded found a 26-year-old woman in a back bedroom suffering from multiple stab wounds.

    Oroville Dam Spillway’s Outflow To Be Stopped To Clear Debris
    OROVILLE (AP) – California water authorities will stop the outflow from the Oroville Dam’s crippled spillway to allow workers to remove debris blocking a hydroelectric plant from working, officials said Sunday.
    The Department of Water Resources said it will start gradually reducing outflows from the Northern California dam beginning Monday morning and completely halt them by the afternoon.

    RIPON, Calif. (CBS13) —  One woman is dead flowing an officer-involved shooting by a Stanislaus County deputy in a quiet neighborhood in Ripon.
    Neighbors called the scene chaos.

    Body Found Near Lincoln Railroad Tracks
    LINCOLN, Calif. (CBS13) — The Lincoln Police Department has found the body of an adult male near 1st and H Streets.
    Following a 911 call around 3:54 p.m. Sunday afternoon, police responded to find the body next to railroad tracks.
    The police department stated in a press release that the there were no obvious signs of foul play or trauma. The Placer County Coroner’s office will be charged with determining cause of death.

    Man Arrested After Punching Stockton Officer In Jaw
    STOCKTON (CBS13) — A 29-year-old man is in custody after assaulting a Stockton police officer.
    Around 3:25 Sunday morning, Stockton police officers stopped along a freeway to assist at the scene of a hit-and-run. They were advised that the suspect was running eastbound along the crosstown freeway.
    The officers were able to locate the suspected driver and attempted to take him into custody.
    The suspect, Brenden Falk, then punched one of the officers on his jaw.
