    MANTECA (CBS13) – It was a quiet night after a breached levee along the San Joaquin River forced about 500 people to leave their homes.
    Crews say it started with water seeping under the levee.
    As of late Monday night, crews were able to stop the water from flowing through. Crews are worked through the night with backhoes to repair it.
    Tuesday morning, authorities said the initial levee repairs had been completed. Crews are now working to shore up the levee.

    EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) – Highway 50 continues to succumb to the weather, with a lane collapsing near Bridal Veil Falls.
    New pictures of the collapsed lane were shared by Placerville-area California Highway Patrol early Tuesday morning.
    The westbound shoulder of the road began eroding on Sunday and is now completely collapsed. The number 2 lane is now buckling.
    Traffic is still slowly moving through the area as the westbound number 1 lane remains open.
    Caltrans is dealing with the road.

    MANTECA (CBS13) — A levee breach has prompted mandatory evacuations in San Joaquin County.
    The breach is on the eastern side of the San Joaquin River in the area of 1119 Parren Road.
    Mandatory evacuations are in effect, bordered by Woodward Road to the north, Union Avenue to the east, and down and the river to the west.     SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The city says it is swamped.
    Sacramento utility crews are responding to dozens of storm related calls, unclogging storm drains and clearing debris.
    To minimize concerns, crews are also on constant levee watch, working 12-hour shifts, looking for erosion and boils, and repairing as needed.
