  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – One of the problems some residents may be dealing with following this week’s massive storms is lost pets.
  The Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento says they usually get 15-20 animals a day. But they received over 80 in just the past three days because of the storm. They are having free adoptions this weekend because they cannot keep them all.

• Police Searching For Modesto Carjacking Suspect In Ripon

  RIPON (CBS13) – Law enforcement officials from several agencies are searching for a suspect accused of a carjacking in Modesto.
  The suspect allegedly stole the victim’s car Friday at gunpoint outside a convenience store on Carpenter Road, according to a statement from the Modesto Police Department. They say they spotted the suspect getting onto the freeway and chased him until he lost control of the car and crashed on Austin Road in Ripon.

  MARYSVILLE (CBS13) – The city of Marysville bracing for another round of storms and hoping to avoid a disaster.
  Officials say they need volunteers to help check the levees for weak spots. There are about seven miles of levees that need to be checked for holes from animals and erosion, and city leaders say they need qualified volunteers.

• Deputy Shoots Suspect At Storage Facility In Rancho Cordova

  RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) – A suspect who allegedly threatened to shoot deputies was critically injured after being shot by a deputy at a Rancho Cordova business on Friday.
