  MODESTO, Calif. (CBS) – Cellphones were rolling when a large brawl broke out at an area mall during Black Friday shopping.

  SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) — Police in the city of South San Francisco say an officer was struck in the head with a skateboard and critically injured while chasing a suspect.
  A police statement released early Friday said the officer was in surgery. The officer was pursuing the suspect Thursday afternoon after getting a report that someone was causing a disturbance.

  MODESTO (CBS113) – A Modesto police officer is recovering in the hospital after he was involved in a motorcycle crash.
  Police investigators say the officer was riding to work on his motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with another vehicle in the area of Claus Road and Floyd Avenue.

  SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS 13) – It’s not the typical rush we see on Black Friday, but the shoppers were still out to play on Thanksgiving Day. Doors at Arden Fair Mall opened at 6pm and many people found the experience to be calmer than they expected.
  “The lines were not that long, it’s not that crowded, parking wasn’t that bad so it was cool,” said shopper Eric Bodie.

  It’s a Thanksgiving Day Miracle.
  A 34-Year-Old mother missing for three weeks is found alive in Yolo County.
  Sherri Papini disappeared three weeks ago on a run near her Redding home.
  Shasta Sheriff Tom Bosenko says she was found at 4:30 in the morning in the community of Yolo, after being freed by kidnappers.
  Police dispatch recordings of Papini’s discovery included initial reports she was chained to something and heavily battered.
  A driver who stopped to help Papini, called the CHP.
