    Police: Woman Shot, Killed In Modesto; Husband Arrested
    MODESTO (CBS13) – A Modesto man is under arrest, suspected in the homicide of his own wife.
    Modesto police say officers responded to a home along the 1000 block of Edison Avenue late Thursday night after someone requested a security check. Officers contacted one resident, 61-year-old Steven Oliver, and then searched the home.
    Inside, officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics were called, but the woman was soon pronounced dead.

    FRESNO, Calif. (AP) – Authorities say the California drought has now killed more than 102 million trees.
    The U.S. Forest Service said Friday that an aerial survey shows more than a 100 percent increase in dead trees across the state since 2015.
    Officials blame California’s five-year drought and bark beetle infestations that can strike as a result.

    SAN JOSE (CBS13) – Musician Kanye West was booed on stage at his San Jose concert Thursday night after revealing who he would have voted for in the election.
    West revealed that he didn’t vote, but if he did he would have cast his ballot for Donald Trump.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Two people are in the hospital after a late night house fire in Sacramento.
    The blaze erupted in a home on Callecita Street, just off Arcade Boulevard, at around 11 p.m.
