    Western Hills’ football team picked up its first win of the season Friday, shutting out district foe Grant County 35-0 in Dry Ridge.
    WHHS quarterback Nicholai Kendall threw for three touchdowns, going 12-for-16 for 251 yards.
    Christian Nicholson caught six passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns, and Dorian Assibey-Mensah had a 52-yard touchdown reception.

    A Frankfort man is accused of shooting a gun inside a Douglas Avenue residence Monday night.
    Frankfort Police were called to the area in reference to a suspicious person at 9:31 p.m. As officers approached the front door a gunshot was fired from inside the home.     Injury accident leads to charges for driver
    An injury motor vehicle accident on Versailles Road early Sunday resulted in charges for a local driver.
    Frankfort Police say Talon Elam admitted to driving 50 mph in a 25 mph residential zone on Sunset Drive and being unable to stop at the Versailles Road intersection causing a three-vehicle injury collision at 1:45 a.m.
    However, a passenger in his vehicle allegedly told authorities Elam was going approximately 80 mph, according to his arrest citation.
