    Injury accident leads to charges for driver
    An injury motor vehicle accident on Versailles Road early Sunday resulted in charges for a local driver.
    Frankfort Police say Talon Elam admitted to driving 50 mph in a 25 mph residential zone on Sunset Drive and being unable to stop at the Versailles Road intersection causing a three-vehicle injury collision at 1:45 a.m.
    However, a passenger in his vehicle allegedly told authorities Elam was going approximately 80 mph, according to his arrest citation.

    FCHS quarterback Knox Barrett went 18-for-30 for 317 yards and one touchdown.
    Aaron Jones had seven receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown. Chris Stallings ran for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and Lane Brock and Barrett also ran for touchdowns.
    Brock scored a two-point conversion, and Gabriel Hansel went 3-for-4 on point-after kicks.
    Nick Dunmire had 10 tackles, and Jones had nine.

    Frankfort Independent board approves working budget, sets tax rate
    The Frankfort Independent Schools Board of Education approved a working budget for fiscal year 2027 at its board meeting Monday.
    The budget will be $16,013,707.43, an increase of $1.8 million from the previous year.
    The board also approved a tax rate of 105.2 cents per $100 on real and personal property and 47.4 cents on motor vehicles.
    The 105.2 tax rate is a 2% increase from the previous rate. A 4% increase would have been a tax rate of 107.3.
