    Days before hitting the $3.3 million Colorado Lottery jackpot, burned out, she quit her job as a certified nursing assistant.
    Yahnique purchased her lottery ticket at the King Soopers at 1155 South Havana Street in Aurora.

    2 Birds Of Prey Rescued In Separate Incidents
    LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – In two separate incidents, two birds of prey were rescued.
    They both happened Friday in Lakewood, when animal control officers were first called to Bear Creek Lake Park.

    A red tailed hawk flew into power lines there.
    While the officers were out, they also found an owl stranded on a golf course suffering from a broken jaw.

    In a papal first, Pope Francis has recorded a video message that will be shown to tens of thousands of fans during Sunday’s Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons.

    ELBERT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Sheriff’s deputies were evacuating multiple homes due to a brush fire in Elbert County Saturday afternoon.
    The fire was burning more than 20 acres in the Chaparall neighborhood.
    It’s not clear how many people were affected but the flames were about a quarter mile away from homes around 5 p.m.
