    A man extradited from Mexico for fatally stabbing an Aurora apartment manager was sentenced Friday to 55 years in prison.
    Javier Aguirre pleaded guilty Dec. 22 to the 2010 murder of Lyndsay Pham, according to an Adams County District Attorney’s Office media release.

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)– Four children were run down by a car in Colorado Springs Wednesday morning as a crossing guard was leading them across the street near their school.
    One child, a second-grade girl was reported in critical but stable condition. She and the other three children are all related and were going to school together. The incident happened around 8 a.m.

    BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4)– South Platte Tactical in Brighton was closed for business Thursday, after the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives asked the owner to audit his merchandise and make sure more guns aren’t missing.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Thursday, hazy sunshine gave way to cloudy conditions and by late afternoon snow arrived in the city – that only CBS4 forecasted as early as Monday. A Winter Weather Advisory was hoisted as a result – not so much for the amount of snow – just 1-4″ – but for the impact of the snow arriving just as the rush hour got under way.
