    DENVER (AP) – The Colorado Rockies have brought in Mike Redmond to serve as the bench coach on new manager Bud Black’s staff.
    The 45-year-old Redmond was the manager of the Miami Marlins from 2013-15, where he compiled a 155-207 record.
    Redmond is a former major league catcher who spent parts of 13 seasons with the Marlins, Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians. He was on the Marlins squad that won a World Series title in 2003.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Strong southerly winds ahead of an approaching storm system brought the warmest Nov. 16 to eastern Colorado in 75 years.
    At 1:24 p.m. the temperature at Denver International Airport hit 80 degrees, which not only broke the daily record of 77 degrees set in 1941, but also tied the all-time warmest November temperature of 80 degrees set on Nov. 8, 2006.

    ASPEN, Colo. (AP) – Independence Pass near Aspen will be closed for the winter season this week.
    Colorado Department of Transportation crews are planning on shutting the Aspen and Twin Lakes gates at noon Thursday with snow expected to move into the area. Unseasonably warm weather allowed the pass to remain open more than a week and a half longer than originally planned.
