    Undersheriff Ray Birch, of the Routt County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed Friday that the gun was the assigned firearm of Officer Michael Stiles.
    Gavin Stiles died on July 14 at the Yampa Valley Hospital from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities say.

    The incident happened on Tuesday at Coronado Court in the town of Clifton in Mesa County.Police said they thought they were targeting a methamphetamine operation and instead forcefully entered a couple’s condo with five children inside.
    Mesa County and Grand Junction SWAT members surrounded the condo and broke down the front door and destroyed windows as they breached the house.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Pictures of fall color are starting to flow into CBS4 and Colorado’s Weather Center as this year’s color seems to be right on time.

    The peak of fall color moves in two directions across Colorado, shifting from north to south between late September and mid-October.It also shifts in elevation, starting in elevations at or above 9,000 feet in mid-September and showing up below 6,000 feet in early to mid-October.
