    Man Who Impersonated Police Officer Sentenced
    DENVER (CBS4)– A man who was found guilty of impersonating a police officer and assaulting a woman was sentenced on Thursday.
    Morris Fate was convicted of impersonating a police officer, third-degree assault and attempted sexual assault in July.Fate, 33, offered a ride to a woman at 17th Avenue and Xenia Street on Oct. 6, 2015. Police say he grabbed her grabbed her, claiming to be a police officer and showing a badge.
    The woman was able to get away and Fate was arrested a short time later.

    BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– Police in Boulder searched for a person of interest in a mattress fire outside a furniture store.
    Firefighters rushed to the north side of Boulder Furniture and Mattress at 2125 Pearl Street about 11:25 p.m. Wednesday on reports of a fire. When crews arrived they found a stack of mattresses burning next to the building.

    (CBS4) – A recall has been issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission for 1 million Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices due to fire risk.
    U.S. regulators say the batteries can explode or catch fire.
    Samsung disclosed the issue earlier this month. The company said 2.5 million of the phones have been sold and the problem has occurred a “few dozen” times, according to the Associated Press.

    CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A 77-year-old man shot three people Wednesday at a senior citizen apartment complex where he lived, killing one before he killed himself nearby as officers closed in on him, police said.
