    DENVER (CBS4) – Firefighters rushed to put out a house fire in Denver on Monday afternoon.
    Fire crews rushed to the home at 4501 East Warren Avenue just before 1 p.m. Monday.

    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – Authorities say a Southwest Airlines flight from Albuquerque to Denver was delayed after a suspicious item was spotted in the cabin before takeoff.
    Albuquerque International Sunport spokesman Dan Jiron says the plane was scheduled to depart before 5 p.m. Monday.
    Instead, the plane was evacuated and taxied to a remote part of the airport and passengers were taken by bus back to the terminal.

    Deadly Hit & Run Started As Street Racing, Teen Arrested

    DENVER (CBS4) – Police said a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on Sunday night started as a street racing.
    Police rushed to the scene just before 9 p.m. Sunday where a man had been struck by an orange Dodge Caliber while crossing Alameda Avenue. The man, 26-year-old Nicholas Richling of Denver, did not survive the collision.
    The driver of the Caliber ditched the car a short distance away and walked away from the crash.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Showers and storms were found mainly over central Colorado on Monday and those to the south of the metro area were the heaviest with Flood and Flash Flood Watches hoisted for portions of El Paso and surrounding counties. Some areas saw rains that came on quickly and dropped several inches of rain causing all sorts of flooding problems. On top of that, some areas saw those heavy rains followed by hail!
