  WALDEN, Colo. (CBS4)– Fire crews say windy and dry conditions helped fuel the Beaver Creek Fire on Tuesday.
  The fire has burned more than 13,200 acres since it started June 19. What sparked the fire remains under investigation.

• Swim Beach At Boulder Reservoir Reopens

  BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– The swim beach at Boulder Reservoir reopened Tuesday after it was closed due to elevated bacteria levels.The swim area, located at 5565 N. 51st Street, was closed on June 30. The increased levels of bacteria are believed to be the result of runoff.
  Reservoir staff continued to monitor and test the water throughout the holiday weekend. Levels were deemed safe for swimming on Tuesday.

  Morris Fate was convicted of impersonating a police officer, third-degree assault and attempted sexual assault.Fate, 33, offered a ride to a woman at 17th Avenue and Xenia Street on Oct. 6, 2015. Police say he grabbed her grabbed her, claiming to be a police officer and showing a badge.

  DENVER (CBS4)– The heavy commuter rail train cars used for RTD’s A Line are being inspected after similar model cars in Philadelphia were taken out of service.

  BUENA VISTA, Colo. (CBS4)– The pilot killed when an experimental aircraftcrashed near Buena Vista on Monday afternoon has been identified.Jay Jones was the sole occupant on board the plane when it crashed near County Road 3564 just north Buena Vista at 12:15 p.m. Monday. The plane caught fire once it hit the ground about four miles north of the airport.
  Jones, 63, was a local pilot from Buena Vista.
  The Chaffee County Sheriff confirmed the fatality.

  Neighbors spotted the fire in the 4400 block of 123rd Avenue Monday afternoon and called 911.

  MINATARE, Neb. (AP) — A Colorado man was killed and two others were injured when a large cottonwood tree snapped and fell on them in western Nebraska.
  The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says 49-year-old Matthew Weaver of Loveland, Colorado died after the tree landed on him on Sunday at Lake Minatare State Recreation Area.

  BUENA VISTA, Colo. (CBS4)– An experimental aircraft crashed near Buena Vista on Monday afternoon and killed the pilot.
  The plane crashed near County Road 3564 just north Buena Vista and caught fire once it hit the ground.
