    BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– The swim beach at Boulder Reservoir reopened Tuesday after it was closed due to elevated bacteria levels.The swim area, located at 5565 N. 51st Street, was closed on June 30. The increased levels of bacteria are believed to be the result of runoff.
    Reservoir staff continued to monitor and test the water throughout the holiday weekend. Levels were deemed safe for swimming on Tuesday.

    Pilot Killed In Buena Vista Plane Crash Identified
    BUENA VISTA, Colo. (CBS4)– The pilot killed when an experimental aircraftcrashed near Buena Vista on Monday afternoon has been identified.Jay Jones was the sole occupant on board the plane when it crashed near County Road 3564 just north Buena Vista at 12:15 p.m. Monday. The plane caught fire once it hit the ground about four miles north of the airport.
    Jones, 63, was a local pilot from Buena Vista.
    The Chaffee County Sheriff confirmed the fatality.

    MINATARE, Neb. (AP) — A Colorado man was killed and two others were injured when a large cottonwood tree snapped and fell on them in western Nebraska.
