    SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Colorado Rockies reliever Jason Motte has a shoulder strain that manager Walt Weiss says makes it “very possible” he’ll miss next week’s season-opening series against Arizona.
    The Rockies signed Motte away from the Chicago Cubs to a two-year, $10 million deal in December. He was competing with newly acquired Jake McGee for the closer’s job.

    HARTSEL, Colo. (AP) — Chaffee County authorities are investigating after a hiker found some human remains.
    Sheriff John Spezze says a hiker out looking for antler sheds reported finding the remains Tuesday in the Trout Creek Pass area, about 15 miles southwest of Hartsel.
    He says the area is being treated as the scene of a homicide.
    The county coroner’s office and the district attorney’s office are helping in the investigation.
