  PARK CITY, Utah (AP) – A Colorado man is dead after he crashed into a tree while skiing in Park City.
  Police say the incident happened Saturday shortly before 10:20 a.m. at Park City Resort.
  They say the 48-year-old man was skiing an advanced trail and hit a tree.
  Ski patrol officers administered medical attention while waiting for a helicopter but police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

  KREMMLING, Colo. (CBS4) – Evidence shows animals are using a first-of its-kind wildlife overpass.

  LAFAYETTE, Colo. (CBS4) – A Lafayette man will spend 25 years in prison for a crime spree that included trying to drown a dog.
  Frank Richard Duran, 30, was sentenced on Friday. He had pleaded guilty to robbery and arson charges.
  In February 2015 police say Duran tried to drown a 5-pound Pomeranian named Cujo. A firefighter saved the dog. It happened apparently after Duran stole a car, threatened to kill a man’s child and set a home on fire.

  DENVER (CBS4) – Smoke from an abandoned hotel fire Friday afternoon could be seen for miles.
  The fire broke out at the Rockies Inn at Interstate 25 and Evans and started raging in just minutes. Fire had already engulfed the roof of the hotel before firefighters arrived. Copter4 was overhead when the third floor collapsed.
