• Home In Foothills In Boulder County A Total Loss Following Fire

  BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – A home was destroyed by a fire in the foothills near Boulder Saturday night.
  The fire broke out at the home located in the 8300 block of Larkspur Road in unincorporated Boulder County just after 8:30 p.m.
  “A detached studio apartment on the property caught on fire and became fully engulfed in flames and was a total loss,” Cmdr. Heidi Prentup with the Boulder Country Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

  LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – A person was killed in a crash in Lakewood Sunday morning.
  According to police, a driver ran a red light and was broadsided at the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Vance Street just before 11 a.m. A person in the vehicle that ran the red light died at the scene.
  The person who was killed hasn’t been identified.
  The intersection had to be closed for two hours for the investigation.

  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – One person was hospitalized after a house caught fire in Colorado Springs early Sunday morning.
  Firefighters were called to the home in the 2300 block of Caramillo Drive around 2 a.m.

  FOUNTAIN, Colo. (AP) – A woman is facing seven counts of aggravated animal cruelty after authorities found three emaciated pit bulls living in a vacant house.
  Crystal McIntosh says she moved out of the house three months ago and didn’t know what happened to the dogs. She says the water and electricity had been shut off.
