    CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) – A Salvation Army bell-ringer collecting donations at a King Soopers in Centennial had his red kettle stolen Thursday afternoon.
    It happened at approximately 2 p.m. at the King Soopers store on Holly Street and East County Line Road. The bell-ringer was devastated and believes it was not spontaneous but planned.

    ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) – An estimated 80 passengers had to be rescued from the Tiehack Express chair lift at Aspen on Wednesday.
    The high-speed, four-person lift on Buttermilk Mountain stopped working at approximately 11 a.m. due to a mechanical issue.
    The Aspen Times reports that it is the third consecutive ski season in which a mechanical issue disabled a chairlift at Aspen Skiing Co. during the busy holiday season.

    At least another foot of snow is in the forecast before the end of the holiday weekend.
