  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)– A beloved high school assistent football coach in Colorado Springs is among the victims in a deadly car crash near Franktown.
  Jeff Lobato was killed in the crash on Monday night on Highway 83 about six miles south of Franktown. His wife and child have serious injuries.
  “The holidays are supposed to be a joyous time. In Sparta, it’s going to be tough this year,” said Doherty High School Athletic Director Chris Noll.

• Small Plane Crashes Into Snowplow At Telluride Airport

  TELLURIDE, Colo. (CBS4)– A small plane crashed at the Telluride Airport on Wednesday afternoon. The airport was closed for snow removal at the time of the crash.
  There were five passengers and two crew members on board the plane that was flying to Telluride from El Paso, Texas. The Hawker Beechjet aircraft is registered out of Mexico.

  VAIL, Colo. (CBS4)– Police in Vail have issued a warning to consumers after a credit card skimmer was found on an ATM inside the Vail Transportation Center.
  The skimmer was found in the transportation center located at 241 S. Frontage Road in Vail. The device was attached directly over the card reader for the machine and was nearly impossible to detect by users.

  DURANGO, Colo. (AP) – La Plata County is requesting up to $2.4 million from the Environmental Protection Agency to help clean up after the Gold King Mine spill.

  DENVER (CBS4) – A water main break Wednesday morning has one block of a Denver neighborhood closed.
  It happened before 6 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Cornell Avenue. Denver Water was on scene, pulling up the road and digging through the ground to reach the broken 12-inch wide pipe.
  The pipe is being cut and a roughly 10-foot section will be removed. It will be replaced with a new pipe and homes in the area should be able to get water within two to three hours.
