    DENVER (CBS4)– A goose who was stuck on the partially frozen pond at Wash Park in Denver for three days was rescued.
    Firefighters took a raft out to the goose to help him get free and brought him back to shore.The Greenwood Wildlife Rehab Center is taking care of the bird until it can get back on its feet– er, wings.

    DENVER (AP) — Bulletproof glass and armed security are nothing new at medical clinics that provide abortions. But in the wake of a deadly shooting last week at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado, clinics nationwide are redoubling security efforts, checking surveillance cameras and reviewing evacuation plans.

    It sure looked like a terrific tandem in the making when Demaryius Thomas took Brock Osweiler’s second pass in his first NFL start and raced 48 yards for a touchdown.

    Manning was scheduled to have his walking boot removed Friday afternoon so he can begin rehab on his injured left foot.

    SNOWMASS VILLAGE, Colo. (CBS4) – A former councilman accused of damaging a jail cell in Snowmass Village has pleaded guilty to DUI and misdemeanor criminal mischief charges.
    Former Snowmass Village Councilman Chris Jacobson was arrested in June for drunk driving. Jail surveillance video showed Jacobson busting out of a restraining chair and tearing apart the cell’s wall and wiring. He also urinated on the floor. 
    Deputies say he caused nearly $15,000 in damage.

    According to police in Aurora, Kenneth Ray Banks, 20, is wanted for first-degree murder in connection to a homicide that happened at the Montview Bar and Grill located at 11680 East Montview Boulevard on Nov. 20.
    Banks is also allegedly connected to a homicide that happened Nov. 23 in the 4700 block of Peoria Street in Denver.
