    Unemployment, Jobs Down In September
    (Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – There’s been another drop in Connecticut’s unemployment rate but the state also shed jobs in September.
    Andy Condon is the director of research at the state Department of Labor.
    He says jobs declined by 7,600 for the month.  However, unemployment was down 1/10 of a percentage point to 5.2 %.

    Motorcyclist In Bristol Crash Dies
    (Bristol, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – A man seriously injured in a Friday crash between a motorcycle and another motor vehicle has died.
    Bristol police say 56-year-old Matthew Cote of Middletown died Friday night.
    Earlier in the day, his motorcycle collided with a vehicle driven by 81-year-old Claire Nocera of Bristol.
