  STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) — An 11-year-old Connecticut girl has been honored for a drawing she made that police say helped them bust a burglar responsible for a string of break-ins on her street.
  WVIT-TV reports that Rebecca DePietro of Stratford drew the picture after police came to her door and asked if her family had seen anyone suspicious. She said she had, and she drew a picture of a man with a shaggy head of hair and scraggly beard.

  WOLCOTT, Conn. (AP) — Authorities say they seized 60 cats and a pair of dogs from a Connecticut home in an apparent animal hoarding case in which the homeowner was trying to run a cat rescue.
  WTNH-TV reports that police found the animals in Wolcott Friday.

  New Haven fire officials say the 55-year-old man fell shortly before 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Yale’s Central Power Plant and was stuck for an hour. They say he was on a ladder inside the chimney when he fell.
