• Teen asylum seeker from Russia arrested in Norway explosive case

  A 17-year-old asylum seeker from Russia was arrested Sunday in connection with an explosive device found near a busy subway station in Norway’s capital that police defused before it detonated, authorities said.

  Bombs exploded at two Coptic churches in different cities in northern Egypt as worshippers were celebrating Palm Sunday, killing at least 43 people and wounding about 100 in an assault claimed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

  The Anchorage Police Department is investigating the death of a person found in Kincaid Park Sunday.
  In a text statement via Nixle around 12:30 p.m., police stated officers had responded to the park after a body was found and reported at 11:49 a.m.
  “However, [the death] does not appear suspicious at this time,” police wrote.

  A North Pole man charged with breaking into a woman’s home and fatally shooting her boyfriend as she and her daughter hid in a closet has been sentenced to 42 years in prison.

  An unnamed teen driver is facing charges after he hit a 13-year-old boy in Wasilla and fled.

• Fairbanks police seek vehicle that fled collision with pedestrian

  Fairbanks police are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision that injured a woman.
