• Anchorage robbery victim dies; police seek fourth suspect

  ANCHORAGE — An Anchorage woman shot during an attempted robbery died Wednesday.
  Anchorage police on Wednesday arrested a third suspect in the case and are seeking a fourth.
  Paula Zorawski, 40, on Sept. 22 answered the door of her home northeast of Russian Jack Springs Park and was shot, police said.
  A day later, police arrested two Michael Fitzgerald and Tommy Hunter Higgs III, both 18. They remain jailed on charges of assault, robbery and drug misconduct.

• Police arrest man wanted in connection with Best Western robbery

  A man wanted in connection with Tuesday’s robbery at the Best Western in Juneau has been arrested.
  Keith Joseph Nelson Jr., 20, was arrested Wednesday night, according to a Juneau Police Department news release. He was at a business in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive. Staff recognized him and called police.
  Nelson had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to comply with conditions of probation, stemming from two original charges of second-degree burglary.

• Chevak locked down Wednesday after false reports of intoxicated man with a gun

  Residents in the Southwest Alaska village of Chevak were placed on lockdown Wednesday morning after false reports said an intoxicated man was walking around with a gun.
  Tribal law enforcement officials say the reports were untrue.

• Fairbanks police investigate shots fired off restaurant roof

  FAIRBANKS — A Fairbanks restaurant worker suspected of firing shots from the roof of the business has been charged with possessing a firearm as a felon.
  The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports Damien Harris, 28, was arrested after police found 25 shell casings on the roof of the Food Factory.
  Harris was convicted of robbery in 2007 and is prohibited from owning a gun.

• Minor quake felt in Palmer; no damage reported

  ANCHORAGE — A small earthquake has been felt north of Anchorage, but officials say there have been no reports of damage.
  The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says in a release the 2.8 magnitude earthquake occurred just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.
  The quake was centered nearly 40 miles north of Palmer and was felt in that community. The center says the temblor was located at a depth of about 10 miles.

• Vandals cause about $1,400 in damage to vehicles in Ketchikan

  Vandals caused up to $1,400 worth of damage earlier this week to vehicles that are dedicated to transporting seniors and people with disabilities.
  Catholic Community Services operates Ketchikan Senior Services and the transit service for seniors and people with disabilities.
  Marianne Mills, the Juneau-based director of Catholic Community Services, said she got a call early Tuesday morning reporting the vandalism.

  Twenty-six moose harvested during Haines’ recent subsistence hunt were sublegal.
  One of those sublegal kills has led to hunting violation charges against two people.

• 21-year-old enters guilty plea in shooting case involving a friend

  Reece David Johnson, 21, of Dillingham pleaded guilty Tuesday in a case that involved his alleged shooting of a friend in the back last May.
  Johnson and Isiah Thompson were drinking whiskey late on May 10 when Thompson was shot, perhaps after midnight.
  An hours-long standoff with police ensued until Johnson gave himself up peacefully.
