• Suspect jailed after shootout in Anchorage

  Anchorage police say they have arrested a suspect involved in a shootout that left two people injured.KTUU-TV reports the Sunday night incident marked the second shooting in the Mountain View neighborhood in two days.
  Police say people in two different vehicles had shot at each other around 10 p.m.
  Two people were hospitalized after the incident for gunshot wounds that were not life threatening. Police say neither man was upfront about their injuries or where they were when they got shot.

• Kenai airport advises residents against nearby drone use

  The Kenai Municipal Airport is taking steps to prevent collisions between drones and airplanes as several close calls have been reported in the past year.The Peninsula Clarion reports that signs have been posted in public areas near the airport to discourage drone pilots from flying where they may interfere with incoming planes. Kenai’s airport commission is also launching a campaign to bring awareness to the problem.

• 2 people found dead on Anchorage trail were homicide victims

  Anchorage police have ruled the two people found dead on a popular downtown trail were the victims of homicide.Police on Tuesday identified the victims as 20-year-old Brianna Folsy and 41-year-old Jason Netter Sr. of Anchorage.
  Police said no one is in custody, and detectives are not releasing how the two were killed.
  Police didn’t immediately respond to an email from The Associated Press seeking further information.

  One person is in custody following a fatal shooting Monday in South Anchorage.
  Anchorage Police responded to a report of a male being shot inside a trailer on the 4000 block of Lore Road Monday just before 7:45 p.m.
