    Six Flags Magic Mountain evacuated because of ‘Sky Fire’ in Santa Clarita
    A 30-acre brush fire in Santa Clarita led to an evacuation, then a shelter-in-place order, for visitors to Six Flags Magic Mountain Sunday afternoon, as county fire fighters battled to get the blaze under control.
    The fire, dubbed Sky Fire by authorities, was sparked at around noon in a area of brush near The Old Road and Skyview Lane. By 12:30 p.m., officials at the theme park announced the evacuation for “the safety and well being of our guests and team members.”

    53-year-old man found shot dead in driveway of Santa Ana home
    SANTA ANA – A 53-year-old man was found fatally shot in the driveway of a home in Santa Ana early Sunday, police said.
    Officers sent to the scene at 3:45 a.m. found the man lying in the driveway in the 1000 Block of South Austin Street with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was transported to a trauma center, where he was pronounced dead, Santa Ana Police Department said in a news release.

    MINNEAPOLIS — Riquna Williams scored 25 points, Chelsea Gray added 21 and the Los Angeles Sparks edged the Lynx 89-85 on Saturday, spoiling a special day for their rivals who retired the jersey of Minnesota native and star Lindsay Whalen.
    Gray capped her string of eight consecutive points in the fourth quarter with a beating  the shot clock with a 5-footer off an inbounds play with 8.5 seconds remaining to give the Sparks an 87-83 lead.

    The Ducks could soon part ways with right wing Corey Perry, buying the former Hart Trophy winner out of the final two years of his contract and saving the rebuilding franchise $4 million in the process, if they are unable to trade him to one of the NHL’s other 30 teams. Trade talks are already underway.
    TSN, the Canadian sports network, was the first to report the story Saturday.
    General manager Bob Murray declined comment, but an NHL source confirmed the TSN report.
