    That’s why most Orange County schools have or will hit the courts this month for summer league and tournament play. The summer basketball season will stretch into late July.

    Man with metal pole beats man with machete during argument over driving, police say
    An argument broke out among two motorists stopped at a Pasadena intersection Monday night, with one driver beating another with a metal pole, police said.
    The victim had been armed with a machete but put it back in his car at about 7:15 p.m. at Los Robles Avenue and Walnut Street.
