• Police investigate fatal Labor Day crash

  CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Monday.
  State Police say it happened near Bonita Canyon Road and NM State Road 53 at about 6:30 a.m.
  The investigation found that 53-year-old Johnny E. Hall from Louisiana was driving an off-road vehicle when he lost control and rolled, according to police.
  Hall died from the crash. Police are still investigating.

  JAL, N.M. (AP) – Authorities say two truck drivers were killed in a wreck in extreme southeastern New Mexico when their rigs collided head-on and burst into flames.
  According to the New Mexico State Police, the collision occurred Sunday on State Road 128 in Lea County when one of the rigs crossed the center line to avoid striking the rear of a third truck that had slowed to make a turn.
