  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police are looking for a driver who left a pedestrian seriously injured Sunday.
  Albuquerque police say it happened on Cochiti Road in southeast Albuquerque.
  Police say the pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
  Officers are on scene investigating. At this time Cochiti Road is closed from Florida to Indiana and will remain closed during the investigation.
  Police have not yet released details about the driver.

  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Firefighters are investigating an overnight fire in Northwest Albuquerque.
  Firefighters say around 1 a.m., Sunday, crews responded to Betty’s Bath and Day Spa on Candelaria between Rio Grande Ave. and 12th Street.
  They say firefighters were able to quickly knock out the fire.
  Their initial investigation shows some towels were on fire.
  No one was hurt.

  PAWNEE, Okla. (KRQE) – A record-tying earthquake near Oklahoma’s main energy-producing areas is bringing attention to the practice of disposing oil and gas-field wastewater deep underground.
  The 5.6-magnitude quake shook north-central Oklahoma Saturday morning in an area where regulators have been looking into limiting wastewater disposal.

  CHAMA, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico railroad is being called the best train ride in the nation.
  According to USA Today’s, Ten Best Readers’ Choice Awards, Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad was voted number one on the leader board.
  It beat out regional foe Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, which placed second on the list.
  Cumbres and Toltec travels between New Mexico and Colorado and elevates to more than 10,000 feet.

  BERLIN (AP) — Scientists have found evidence to support what many dog owners have long believed: man’s best friend really does understand some of what we’re saying.

  They said it happened just before 10 p.m. at a gas station on San Mateo and Kathryn in Southeast Albuquerque.
  The Albuquerque Police Department has not identified the man who died.
  But, the suspect who killed him is still on the run. Police said he is a Hispanic man between 5’2” and 5’5”, thin built, and bald. If you have any information, call 242-COPS.

  Police say Johnny Dominguez was speeding and slammed into two cars.
