• New Mexico State Fair announces annual green chile cheeseburger contest

  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Time to bring on the heat.
  Entries are now being accepted for the New Mexico State Fair’s annual green chile cheeseburger challenge.
  Local restaurants have until August 5th at noon to submit an application, but only 10 restaurants will be selected to compete.
  Last year, Fuddruckers took home the title of “Green Chile Cheeseburger Champion.”

  LAS VEGAS, N.M. (AP) – Low flow levels in the Gallinas River have prompted Las Vegas officials to impose water restrictions in the northeast New Mexico city.

  According to Valencia County EMS, the fire has burned 100 to 200 acres and is about 30 percent contained.
