  INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Mel Daniels, the Hall of Fame center who helped the Indiana Pacers win three American Basketball Association titles, died Friday. He was 71.

  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A man who killed two University of New Mexico students while driving high took a plea deal in court Friday.
  Last November, Joshua Leal was driving a stolen truck when he crashed into a car near I-40 and Rio Grande.
  Briana Hillard and Matthew Grant were killed and two others were seriously injured.
  Drug tests show Leal had meth in his system at the time of the wreck.
  Leal pleaded no contest in court.
  As part of the plea agreement, Leal faces 12 to 18 years in prison.

  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Prosecutors say they will retry former Albuquerque Public Schools Deputy Superintendent Jason Martinez on child molestation charges.
  Martinez abruptly left APS after the charges in Denver were revealed. The charges didn’t show up prior because he never underwent a background check.
  Martinez was arrested in 2013 for allegedly sexually abusing two young boys.
  His retrial is set for March 1.
